My husband and I met in junior high and became the best of friends up until he moved away our sophomore year in high school. Twenty years passed with very little contact until a chance Facebook encounter put us back in touch with one another. A short 4 months later we were engaged.
We started looking for a place to get married and I came across Chapel in the Pines. As we pulled down the gravel drive, we knew instantly this was where we were going to be married… the log cabin chapel, the pond, the outdoor cathedral, the pine trees, the landscaping, just everything about it was perfect for us! And on May 15th, 2010 we were married.
We formed an instant bond with the owners at that time and about a year after our wedding they contacted us about purchasing the chapel and wedding business, because they were ready to retire and do the traveling they had always wanted to do. While we were so honored that they thought so highly of us, we were obviously a little gun shy as we had never before done anything of this sort. After much thought and prayer, we took a leap of faith and here we are now.
We purchased the business at the end of 2011, and are now pursuing our dreams!!! It has been all that we expected and more. To be able to take part in a couple’s special day is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling things we could ever imagine doing. The many thanks we receive from brides, grooms, and families for making their special day a dream come true is the best compliment we could receive and makes all of our hard work completely worth it.
Chapel in the Pines offers wedding and vow renewal packages for every budget. Take a look and give us a call.
